Things to Do

Places to Eat

Uptown

Clancy's: The Pluscht Family's favorite New Orleans restaurant. The fried oysters with brie are a required order!

Superior Seafood: The best frozen drinks in the City. Go for Happy Hour (4-6 daily) to get half off frozen drinks and $1 oysters.

La Petite Grocery: Another great New Orleans restaurant. Do not sleep on the burger or the blue crab beignets.

Mr. Mao: Webster's favorite restaurant in New Orleans with insanely good share plates and cocktails. They change their menu almost daily, so prepare to be surprised!

Parasol's Po Boys: Some of the best po-boys in New Orleans and great proximity to bars and other walkable areas in the Garden District.

St. James Cheese Company: A great lunch spot that locals adore! They have an amazing selection of sandwiches and salads, and its in a great walkable area!

Molly's Rise and Shine: A super unique breakfast spot that you won't find anywhere else! Go on Saturday to grab their weekly homemade pop-tart!

Turkey and the Wolf: The sister restaurant to Molly's Rise and Shine, known for its viral "fried bologna" sandwich and quirky atmosphere. You will not regret it!

French Quarter

Royal House: This is a Trimble family staple and almost every visitor has been taken to this gem! Although smack in the middle of the French Quarter, Royal House has some of the best, classic New Orleans food and is a great place to pause for dinner in between Hurricanes at Pat O's.

Stanley's: Where our families first met! Also where Paul Trimble goes to get his favorite breakfast sandwich and bloody mary in New Orleans.

Court of Two Sisters: Another great New Orleans restaurant in the French Quarter. The Court of Two Sisters has a fabulous courtyard jazz brunch that is a great way to start a fun day downtown.

Other Faves

N7: Our FAVORITE restaurant with some of the best French food you will ever find. Get the soy creme brulee, you won't regret it!

Bacchanal: One of the best wine bars in New Orleans that has great live music and munchies! You will have to Uber or cab, but it is worth it.

Peche: Great seafood and owned by a great Louisiana restaurant group.

Cochon Butcher: Some of the best sandwiches in New Orleans! A perfect lunch spot that is walking distance to some of the best areas in the city.

Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler

Uptown

Cure: Francie and Webster's first date <3 and a great place to get craft cocktails.

The Bulldog: Fabulous beer garden that is a great place to watch football and enjoy the gorgeous New Orleans weather in the fall. Within walking distance to a lot of the Uptown restaurants and beautiful homes.

Tchoup-Yard: Another great patio bar that is fit for larger groups! Within walking distance to a lot of the Uptown restaurants and beautiful homes.

Hot-Tin: A great roof-top bar that is right on St. Charles and has amazing views of the beautiful city!

Delachaise: A wine bar right on St. Charles that is perfect walking distance to the gorgeous homes in the Garden District.

French Quarter

Pat O'Brien's: The BEST! Grab your crew, get a table in the piano bar, and discover why Pat O's is one of the most (in)famous bars in New Orleans! And please remember Paul Trimble's sage wisdom to never have more than one Hurricane!

The Cat's Meow: A favorite karaoke bar in the French Quarter with a great balcony set up. If anything, go for the people watching!

Carousel Bar: One of the most famous bars in New Orleans for good reason! Carousel Bar is truly beautiful and a slice of history that has been impeccably maintained. If you can't get a spot at the Carousel Bar, the Hotel Monteleone has several bars that are great and have the same ambiance.

Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop & Bar: Dimly lit and one of the oldest bars in the French Quarter, serving beer & frozen drinks since the 1700s, including the infamous "Purple Drank." You have been warned!

Lagniappe

Other Must Do's in New Orleans!

Harrah's: Recently renovated and ready for the takings!

Shopping: New Orleans has an amazing shopping scene! Everything from fabulous antiques on Royal Street in the French Quarter to cute boutiques on Magazine St. Some great stores are Dirty Coast, Hemline (the original is in the French Quarter), Lucy Rose, and Elizabeth Chronicles!

Beignets: There are several places to get beignets in New Orleans! Of course, Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter is the go-to spot and for good reason, but if you're pressed for time and/or want to avoid the crowds at Cafe du Monde, Cafe Beignet (French Quarter) and the Vintage (Uptown) are also amazing options!

WWII Museum: New Orleans is home to one of the best WWII Museums in the USA.

Garden District Tours: The best way to see the gorgeous homes in New Orleans is to schedule a walking tour throughout the Garden District, but you can easily grab the Street Car on St. Charles, hop off when you see a beautiful home, and just start walking! There are also apps that provide virtual guides.

Ghost Tours: New Orleans loves a spooky moment and becomes a quirky Halloween-Town during October, so this is a perfect time to schedule a ghost tour and learn more about what makes New Orleans a haunted city!

Swamp Tours: One of the best parts about living in New Orleans is that it is only 30 minutes from some insane wildlife and nature! Schedule a swamp tour with "Airboat Adventures" and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
